I am Haunted
by
Words

LoRayne’s last understandable words to me were “Remember -- There is nothing but the Word!
I am surrounded and haunted by Words; hers, mine, and the results of those words good or bad are plainly seen.
I am only as good as my Word once given and the good ones should be kept and nurtured. Once said they put in action events that are lasting and they can wound or heal. Many should not have been spoken but in anger or bitterness once uttered it may take a lifetime or more to undo the negative results.
I am haunted by my words and her words surround me literally as she left her thoughts jotted down on anything at hand. In the bathroom on a cue tip box and in the many hundreds of articles she wrote. Her spoken words are only in my memory and mine were taken away from her by that insidious disease called Alzheimer’s. Those words are still out there in the Heavens and now she can once again hear and accept I pray only my good words.
I am haunted by my negative words said and am only accepting and remembering the positive and uplifting ones from her as “Sweete, I love you.”
So the legacy she left me with and I hope others were her last lucid haunting ones -- “There is nothing but the Word!"
I would like to utter my last words to her:
“I love you, Baby.”
“And the word became flesh and dwelt with me full of grace and beauty!”
